Permit Coordinator

  • Permit Research: Conducting thorough research to identify the specific permits and approvals required for the project based on local building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant guidelines.

  • Gathering and organizing all the necessary documentation, such as architectural drawings, engineering plans, environmental assessments, and other supporting materials required for the permit application.

  • Completing and submitting permit applications to the appropriate regulatory authorities, ensuring that all required forms are accurately filled out and accompanied by the required documentation.

  • Maintaining regular communication with regulatory agencies, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to provide updates on the permit status, address any inquiries or additional requirements, and facilitate the timely processing of permits.

  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, codes, and guidelines throughout the permit approval process, making any necessary adjustments or revisions to the application or project plans as required.

  • Creating and maintaining a system for tracking the progress of permit applications, including keeping records of submission dates, review timelines, approvals, and any conditions or restrictions associated with the permits.

  • Identifying and resolving any issues or challenges that arise during the permit approval process, which may involve coordinating with various stakeholders, providing additional documentation or clarifications, or appealing decisions if necessary.

  • Facilitating the expediting of permits, when possible, by prioritizing urgent applications, leveraging relationships with regulatory authorities, and ensuring that all necessary information is readily available.

  • Keeping comprehensive records of all permits and approvals obtained, including permit numbers, expiration dates, and any conditions or restrictions imposed, for future reference and compliance purposes.

Utility Coordinator

  • Conducting research to identify the existing utility infrastructure in the project area, including water, electricity, gas, telecommunications, and sewer systems. Coordinating with utility companies and providers to obtain information on available services, connections, and requirements.

  • Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to integrate utility requirements into the project's design and site plans. Ensuring that utility connections, routing, and capacity considerations are properly accounted for.

  • Assisting in the process of obtaining necessary permits and approvals from utility companies, municipalities, and regulatory agencies. This may involve submitting applications, providing required documentation, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with utility regulations.

  • Managing the negotiation, preparation, and execution of contracts and agreements with utility companies, including service contracts, easements, right-of-way agreements, and any necessary utility relocation agreements.

  • Serving as the primary point of contact and maintaining regular communication with utility companies and providers throughout the project. Coordinating utility installation schedules, inspections, and any necessary adjustments or modifications to the utility plans.

  • Collaborating with construction teams to ensure that utility installations are carried out in accordance with approved plans and specifications. Coordinating utility locates, overseeing trenching, conduit installations, and utility tie-ins.

  • Assisting in the development and management of the utility budget for the project. Monitoring and controlling utility-related expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring adherence to allocated budgets.

  • Conducting inspections and quality control checks to ensure that utility installations meet industry standards, codes, and specifications. Addressing any deficiencies or issues promptly and coordinating with utility providers to resolve them.

  • Coordinating the commissioning and activation of utility services upon project completion. Verifying that all necessary connections, meters, and systems are functioning correctly and initiating service activation with utility providers.

  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to utility coordination, including permits, contracts, agreements, utility plans, as-built drawings, and inspection reports.
