Jr. Architect

Assisting senior architects in the design process by creating and modifying architectural drawings, models, and renderings. This may involve using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other design tools to develop conceptual designs or detailed construction documents.

Conducting research on architectural materials, building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainable design practices. This includes gathering information and data to inform design decisions and ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.

Assisting in the preparation of architectural drawings, plans, and specifications. This involves creating and updating construction documents, detailing building components, and coordinating with other design disciplines.

Participating in site visits and conducting surveys to gather information about existing conditions and assess site feasibility. This includes documenting measurements, taking photographs, and assisting with site analysis.

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants, to ensure coordination and integration of architectural designs with other project components. This may involve attending meetings, reviewing drawings, and facilitating effective communication among team members.

Assisting in the administration of construction projects by reviewing contractor submittals, responding to requests for information (RFIs), and addressing design-related issues during the construction phase. This includes working closely with senior architects to ensure accurate implementation of design intent.

Actively seeking opportunities for professional growth and development. This may include attending workshops, seminars, and industry events, as well as pursuing professional licensure or certifications.

Learning from and observing senior architects to develop a deeper understanding of architectural principles, design processes, and project management. Junior architects often benefit from the mentorship and guidance provided by more experienced professionals in the field.
